Avatar Digital 3D

::31 Jan 2010::
Last day of the month of Jan for 2010 falls on weekends. Initially, we decided to go for Avatar 3D before the movie actually off screen. To our surprise, the seats are still hot for the 3D version which is a good sign telling this is a must-watch considering Avatar's almost full fledge 3D animated. Without delay we purchased our tickets 3 days before the actual screening, even at such early bookings the seats are already half full! Manage to book 2nd and 2nd row from rear, which was quite good positions for normal screenings.

The movie was at 11am sharp, considering the heavy traffics during weekends at Midvalley. We decided to make it early where the mall was just waking up from it's slumber. Reached GSC Midvalley around 10am and was surprised to see the ticket counters were already full of people queuing up. Decided to grab some fast breakfast at the McD just beside the cinema.
Look at the queue xD
Just started to open ^^
Timing was good, Yip and Bama came while we were munching on the breakfast set. Entered cinema right before the show started. We were given a set of 3D glasses which was required to view the 3D format shown later. Without the glasses, there would be just a 2 toned glared screen.
Our breakfast lol
Pass to Digital 3D
Excited Adrian xD
With glasses on, it was a great improve on clarity. Tiny details can be spotted and the objects shown are more layered. A huge letdown was the positions we are in it seems like to fully indulge into the 3D. Center row seating are recommended, ideally 5th row from the screen. Nonetheless, we enjoyed every bit of the 3D motion, realistic surroundings and experience. For first time viewers, it may be tiring at first since there is too much details to look around but as soon your eyes are used to it; the enjoyment truly starts there.

Posing with glasses on^^
wow the glasses are glowing
Overall, the whole 3D experience was satisfying coupled with a brilliantly made 3D intended Avatar. And also one note is 3D doesn’t have normal subtitles like normal screenings. Recommended to watch the normal version if you can’t pickup the story without subtitles. The glasses will be collected at the exit entrance before exiting the hall lol. I SEE YOU

But if you're keen on keeping it, please prepare at least RM200 for 'legal' fees. lol

3D-ers: Adrian, Bama, Jason, Elly, William and Yip
